About A Dr. Beary Goode Hunt
Since 2004, financial institutions in the London area have come together to raise funds for sick and injured children. Since inception, this event has raised more than $1,000,000 for Children's Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, Thames Valley Children's Centre, and Children's Health Research Institute.
Due to COVID-19, they've had to shift gears and create an event the whole family can enjoy safely!
How to Sign Up
1. Register your team
- Choose a captain to register your team.
- Your team captain will create a team fundraising page.
2. Gather pledges
- Share your team fundraising page to collect pledges towards your team total.
- To participate, each team needs to collect $100 in pledges.
3. Get ready to see the sights!
- Join us at Children's Health Foundation on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in support of children's health care.
- Bring out the entire family! There's lots of fun for all ages.
- Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising team and the teams that find Dr. Beary Goode the most in their allotted time.
Meet Joey, your Dr. Beary Goode Hunt Ambassador
Will you help save kids like Joey?
Joey’s story isn’t just a cancer story. At four years old, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. But, unfortunately, more difficult times were to come for this young boy and his family.
A few weeks into Joey’s treatment, his mother passed away unexpectedly. Three days after her funeral, Joey had a 12 hour day of treatment at the hospital. Cancer didn’t stop just because their lives had turned upside down.
Children’s Hospital became like a second family, going above and beyond any time Joey was in for an admission or treatment days.
Over the next three and a half years, Joey endured tough treatment sessions. During these difficult times, he never stopped smiling, never stopped joking and definitely never stopped pranking!
Today, Joey has kicked cancer’s butt thanks to the care at Children’s.
