Help support children and teens with cancer, like my sister Shawna
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and I will be walking to support the Oncology Unit at Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC)!
I have a personal connection to Children's Hospital at LHSC. My sister, Shawna, passed away at age 16 from a rare form of cancer called epithelioid sarcoma. My family is all too familiar with the difficulties of travel for care: 97 km each way for appointments and visits. She received her treatment at Children's Hospital where the staff and physicians are the best in their field.
The treatment and support of children with cancer and their families is critical. I hope you will help me in support of this cause. Your donation will go towards:
Therapeutic programs to lessen the anxiety families are feeling in hospital, not only during cancer treatment but during a world pandemic. Help children feel emotionally safe and supported.
State-of-the-art equipment to ensure children receive the best possible care.
Please support me and help sick kids fighting cancer!
