I am walking to support children with cancer - you can join me
When I was twelve and started babysitting I took care of the children across the street from time to time. The eldest, a girl of eight died of leukaemia. It was my first real experience with death and cancer and I want to honour her and help those children today and tomorrow who are fighting cancer.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and I will walk 40 kms or more to support the Oncology Unit at Children's Hospital located here in London. Children come from hundreds of kilometres away for treatment at our hospital.
Your donation in support of my efforts will go towards:
Therapeutic Programs, to lessen the anxiety families are feeling in hospital. Not only during cancer treatment but during a world pandemic. Help children feel emotionally safe and supported.
State-of-the-Art Equipment, to ensure children receive the best possible care.
You can ensure better childhoods for kids facing challenges and serious health issues and hope, relief and support for those who love them.
Please support me and help sick kids fighting cancer!
